Carnivals

 

About

Carnivals hosted by Clubs and Associations external to Cannon Hill Stars Netball Club, are an opportunity for players to compete against teams from other netball associations.  It is also an opportunity for teams to include players not already registered in the team.

Carnivals are advertised to clubs and associations via Facebook and email.  The Cannon Hill Stars Netball Club will promote these carnivals via our Facebook page.  

 

Registration

Hosting associations or organisations generally require teams to register directly to them - not through the Cannon Hill Stars Netball club.  The hosting association or organisation also require each registered team aged 10 years and older to provide a suitably qualified Umpire.  Younger teams must have a coaching umpire, similar to the MDNA NetSetGo competition rules.

 

Finding an Umpire

Cannon Hill Stars is able to schedule Umpires for the 10 years and older teams for these Carnivals.  The fee for a CHS Umpire to attend a typical one day carnival is $100.

 

To engage an Umpire, the Team Manager must complete following:

  1. Email CHS, marked Attention: Umpire Coordinator and include the following:

    • Name of Carnival

    • Date of Carnival

    • Team number (CHS**) 

    • Age Group

    • Division within MDNA Saturday competition

  2. Collect payment from Team members 

    • Make ONE payment of $100 (or required amount) to CHS bank account including the reference: "Carnival Name Team CHS Team Number"

    • Email receipt of Umpire payment to CHS marked Attention:

      • Umpire Coordinator

      • Treasurer

    • Monitor email for confirmation from CHS of Umpire engagement

Please note, a team MUST have an Umpire engaged to participate at Carnival.

 

If a team is registered under the CHS name, all players are to wear the Club uniform.
